Don't over-think this one. I love that the scenery and characters vary within this book. The female lead has great friends and interesting coworkers. She continues to be a strong woman who travels to her job site. I hate books that turn a female into a simpering mess, as soon as, a gorgeous man appears. Do I buy that an attractive, intelligent woman would hold out for ten years? Eh, that's the suspending reality portion of the book. I appreciated that our villain returns to older genres of bad guy; not quite Gothic or Victorian crazy.... refreshing suspense in today's climate of mass gore.Product details

I loved the characters And interaction with all of them. I really loved Zachary and his ragpie. I had trouble w the crazy ex wife though. The ending with the note was sweet.
Zach and Maddie have a sizzling romance and these characters are likable. This book is supposed to be a comedy but it wasn't all that funny. The chemistry between characters was good and the plot had tension, jealousy, mystery, and crime but not a lot of laughs. All in all it was a good read.
Zach's Rebound Girl follows career girl Maddie who is trying to restore her family home. Enter her ex-bestie Zach from uni who now lives next door and shakes up everything in her orderly world. Maddie has loved Zach for years, but the journey we see from this writer on the emotional growth from the hero is fun and super sexy! I look forward to more from this author!
This story had a lot of twists and turns. It is a story of unrequited love ten years later. There were a few murder attempts, misunderstandings, arson, break ins , steamy sex and of course the romance. The characters are colorful and there is mystery and intrigue. The last chapter was alittle bit "Too Hollywood". It is entertaining and a good read.
Zach's Rebound Girl is a witty, romantic, sexy book that will make you laugh, cry, and sigh. Maddie, the heroine, is the kind of girl you want for a best friend, and Zach, well...let's just say maintaining a 'friendship only' with him would be almost impossible. Maddie has that problem, even though their friendship goes back 10 years. The journey between these two is at times funny, and others sad, but it's always entertaining. And, to top it all off, there's a nice little suspense angle. What more could you want in a story? Nothing, that's what...so pick up your copy asap. It will be one of the best deals you've ever gotten for under a buck. (Or, if you pay more than a buck, you'll still get your money's worth). A definite hit!
Monique DeVere has written a funny, sad, complicated story in Zach’s Rebound Girl. Maddy is not the shy, quiet, studious girl that Zach knew in University. She’s blossomed into the creator and star of a successful remodeling television show. Zach is also a financial success at developing resort property. Only he’s acquired the property she wanted, her former family estate. Too many years have passed for Maddy to trust him. Complications multiply, not the least of which is Zach’s divorce. Trouble keeps finding Maddy until the surprising climax.
I’m looking forward to reading more of Monique’s writing.
A fun and sexy romp of a read. Ms. DeVere has written an intriguing mix of romance, comedy and suspense. The characters are easy to cheer for, and the emotional content is satisfying. I look forward to reading other books by this author.
